NCC Staff Accepting Award at PMUW 80th Anniversary Gala

The PMUW’s 80th Anniversary Gala was held on September 24 at Kalahari Resort. The gala celebrated PMUW’s history and the community members and organizations that have helped PMUW address the needs of Monroe County and the wider Poconos. NCC Monroe and the late dean were selected for their community impact in the region including partnerships with local businesses and organizations, workforce development and training and changing students’ lives. United Way commented that, “NCC continues to be a leader in post-high school and college development. The college is innovative and serves as an amazing community partner and collaborator. Connell was a leader, inside and out of NCC. He was a visionary, a person that wanted the best for our community. He volunteered his time and offered his expertise whenever called upon.”

The Bizzy Awards were held September 15 at Mount Airy Casino Resort. Their Curbside Appeal Award was a testament to the beauty of NCC Monroe, which maintains a green and lush campus, boasting Gold LEED certified buildings powered by 100% renewable energy. The campus’s state-of-art and modern buildings sit on 84 acres filled with beautiful trees, which students and faculty at Monroe aim to turn into an accredited arboretum.

NCC is proud to be recognized by these organizations!
