Northampton Community College’s Center for Career Development & Alumni Engagement recently released their annual First Destination Report showcasing the career outlooks and accomplishments of the class of 2020. The report surveyed 1,085 NCC graduates which was a response rate of 81%.

Some highlights include:

  • 93% of graduates are continuing their education or employed
  • A.A.S Degree Programs with 100% Related Employment include: Automotive Technology, Construction Management, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Electronics Technology, Electromechanical Automated Systems, Hospitality Management – Restaurant Option, Licensed Practical Nurse, Radiography, Special Education Paraeducator, Veterinary Technician and Web Development
  • Specialized Diploma or Certificate Programs with 100% Related Employment include: Electrical Technology, Health Care Office Specialist, HVAC/R, Library Technical Assistant, Leadership for Early Childhood Ed. Program Directors, Special Education Paraeducator, Medical Assistant, Multimedia, Web Site Design
  • The following programs saw salary increases: Diagnostic Medical Sonography (+4%), Registered Nursing (+2%), Licensed Practical Nursing (+13%), Healthcare Billing & Coding (+31%), and Veterinary Technician (+21%)
  • Of the graduates continuing their education, 62% are headed to PA Public-Supported Institutions, 26% to PA Private Institutions and 12% to Out-of-State Institutions
  • The top 4-year transfer destinations include: East Stroudsburg University, Kutztown University, DeSales University, Penn State University, Moravian University, West Chester University, Cedar Crest College, Bloomsburg University and Drexel University
