Northampton Community College is the best community college value with the lowest tuition cost in the state of Pennsylvania, according to Community College Review, an online site that provides free, detailed profiles of community colleges across the country.
“As the state’s most affordable college and the Commonwealth’s best college value, NCC provides high quality, low cost, locally delivered, universally-accessible college education that prepares students for success in the work force, or at the four-year school of their choice,” NCC President Dr. Mark Erickson said.
The base tuition rate is $116 per credit hour for Northampton County students.
NCC offers more than 100 programs that can help students transfer to a four-year college, start a new career, update skills, or enter the workforce. Options include online and in-person classes to fit busy schedules, and students can take advantage of 14-week, 10-week and 7-week accelerated options, offering an estimated savings of $25,000 per year for students who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
The college also offers the largest private scholarship program of any community college in the Commonwealth, and provides $46 million of total aid annually. More than 53% of NCC students receive some form of aid and NCC awards nearly 600 scholarships each year. In addition, the college also offers interest-free payment plans.
Registration for the spring semester at NCC is open now at info.northampton.edu/spring. Classes begin on January 18.
