You+Me+Them=Us [Hands On Event at the Monroe Campus]

Become part of the bigger picture. In celebration of Creative Arts Therapy month, NCC Counselors and Art Therapists, Ariane Medero and Laura Sally are partnering with professor Gayle Hendricks for a relaunch of “US”, a collaborative project that allows participating students, faculty, and staff to explore their identity—racial, ethnic, sexual, gender, religious, abilities, cultural identity and more through hands-on collage art making. No prior art skills are needed. Simply openness to step into a creative art making process!
The individual images will be collected into a paper crazy quilt displayed on a dark wall. Individual art should be about 8″x10″. If itbreaks out of it’s confines or shape, or shrinks it’s all okay. Art may overlap. Like the quintessential Eastern Pennsylvania “crazy quilt”, it’s the differences that will bring it all together. The crazy quilt is destined to be chaos, but it never fails to come together as a creative whole.
