FREE Workplace Safety and Health Training on Infectious Diseases, Including COVID-19

Corporate & Public Safety Education was awarded a Susan Harwood grant from the Department of Labor, Occupation Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) to deliver free infectious diseases training including COVID-19 for healthcare employers. In addition to an overview of virus characteristics and infection prevention measures (including PPE), the program will review the role and responsibilities of the safety coordinator including OSHA’s General Duty clause for COVID-19; OSHA recordkeeping and reporting for COVID-19 and OSHA expectations for worker protection from COVID-19. Training may also satisfy some of the COVID-19 training requirements required by OSHA. Registered nurses and EMS professionals successfully completing the entire program are eligible for continuing education.
