Auditions for “Assassins”

Auditions for Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s musical will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 31 and Thursday, Sept. 1 from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Lipkin Theatre.

Auditions are open to all NCC and Cedar Crest College students, as well as alumni and community members. No sign-ups are needed for audition slots.

To audition, prepare 32 bars of a Broadway rock song; an accompanist will be provided. Also, plan to do cold readings from the provided script.
A multiple Tony Award-winning theatrical tour-de-force, “Assassins” combines Sondheim’s signature blend of intelligently stunning lyrics and beautiful music with a panoramic story of our nation’s culture of celebrity and the violent means some will use to obtain it, embodied by America’s four successful and five would-be presidential assassins. Show dates for “Assassins” are Thursday, Oct. 20 – Sunday, Oct. 23.
